Water puppet show

Water puppet show is a Vietnamese traditional performance. For years, it has been a fascinating part of the local lives. The fun and informative features in every water puppet show keep anyone interested for hours. The puppets are made out of wood and then lacquered. The shows are performed in a waist-deep pool. A large bamboo rod supports the puppet under the water and is used by the puppeteers, who are normally hidden behind a screen, to control them. This is how the puppet move on the water.

Water puppet show is hold in Thang Long water puppet theater at 57 B Dinh Tien Hoang street. There are 5 performances every day at 15:30 – 17:00 – 18:30 – 20:00 – 21:15 and Sunday at 9:30. Water puppet show provides a great way for the whole family to have fun, keep fit and cool off.

Ho Tay Water Park

It is a mistake if you leave your swimsuit at home as you think Hanoi is not a beach city. Ho Tay water Park is great fun for couples, family and friends.

Covering an area of over 35,500 square meters, Ho Tay water park is known as the most modern entertainment facility in South East Asia. While adults are interested in the 3 meters depth wave-making pool and high-speed sliding lanes, children are carried away by colorful statues of cartoon characters in the shallow pool and several funny games in kid’s area. It also has a food zone serving fast food and other stunning dishes for your empty belly after hours of burning energy. The opening hours are from 9a.m to 8p.m and from 8 a.m to 8 p.m on weekend. It costs about 3$-5$ each person for entrance fee. Ho Tay water park is truly another cool excuse to escape from the heat.

Thong Nhat Park

In this chaotic city, Thong Nhat Park is a wonderful place to relax and hang out. It is known as the largest park in Hanoi, which draws many residents and tourists every day. People go to Thong Nhat Park for jogging, dog walking and relishing the fresh and green space. It is not only the attractive place for adults but also for children, take your kids here and spend a few fun hours. Many games are offered at the park such as mirror house, driving carts, etc. and I think the most striking activity for kids is swan pedal boats. If your kids are a bit curious about the world, sitting on a boat and observe the natural surrounding is not a bad idea.

Hanoi Circus

Hanoi circus

Hanoi central circus is a large tent on the northern side of Thong Nhat Park. It has been existed for decades through the shifts and changes of the country and now become one of the most attractive sites of the city. It attracts a number of people every day for its fantastic and inspiring performances by talented artists and adorable animals. You and your kids will be in for a great fun with colorful clowns, incredibly cute animals and spectacular performance.

Hanoi central circus is opened daily from Tuesday to Sunday from 8-10p.m at 40,000 VND (about 2$). On Sunday morning, there is a special performance for children at 9:30 p.m so don’t miss this chance to make your kids’ day.
